MESSAGE FROM THE PARISH PRIEST
My Dear People,
Re: the debate about fathers being dispensable in the new fertility Bill before parliament: I got this tit bit from the Times during the week. Two of the senior Ministers in the Government, Harriet Harman and Patricia Hewitt wrote in their Paper:
"THE FAMILY WAY: A NEW APPROACH TO POLICY MAKING":
Men who wish to be involved in child nurture and who wish to provide for the nurturer child dyad will negotiate their way in to this arrangement by contract. It cannot be assumed that men are bound to be an asset to family life, or that the presence of fathers in families is necessarily a means to social harmony and cohesion."
My dear people - this is now soon to be law. These two no doubt feminists have got their way in Government and their opinion has been made into the Law of the land. We are sleepwalking into something dreadful. So fathers are not a natural blessing or an asset to family harmony are they? So what role for the fathers then? Hence all these abandoned kids crying for their dads when the two ministers have dictated that fathers are not really part of the family.
God help us.
The Church our Mother, always listens to the Word of God and bases its faith on the Word made flesh. Our Lord described that Church as "built on a rock". He said "to Simon-Peter "You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell will never prevail against it...". Now the wind can blow and the gales rise up and the floods hit but the structure is built on rock and it will not collapse in the face of the enemy.
The church has many enemies and we seem to be the target because on the whole Catholics as an organised, united and Universal body who stand up to the falsehoods been spouted and made into Law. The Church is hated for it because it dissents and gives very good arguments and those who rule don't want an argument; they want submission and surrender. The Church will not give it. We will give up adoption of Children if we have to break the moral law to survive as a Catholic Rescue Society. That is only one example.
You see as our Lord says it not sufficient to say "LORD, LORD" but no - you have to do the will of the Father. In doing the will of God you will have to pay the cost believe me.
The Church is in good hands with Pope Benedict and we pray that during the month of the Sacred Heart (Feast last Friday) the warmth of Christ's love will enter into all our hearts and fill them with confidence for the struggle ahead. Those of you with young families - be very careful with what the NHS will try to do through the education system. You will need your wits around you all the time and be vigilant.
