THE NATIVITY OF JOHN THE BAPTIST + 24TH JUNE 2012.

MESSAGE FROM THE PARISH PRIEST.

My Dear People,

"It was you who created my being; knit me together in my motherís womb...already you knew my soul, my body held no secret from you." Thus the author of Psalm 138 speaks as he gives thanks to God for the wonder of being aware of being created by Godís hands. It is particularly apt for this passage to be used at the Birthday of our Blessed Lordís cousin - John the Baptist. His was the "Voice" who would precede the "Word". What a a voice. The whole of Israel had an opinion about him. Even Herod knew him and was afraid of him because he spoke the truth about the state his pagan wife- Herodias had brought about. However he respected John and protected him from the more vengeful members of his court - like the wife!

The Birthday of John is kept solemnly each year because you can say that John's birth is the fleshing out of the Divine Plan for our salvation. Elizabeth, his mother is visited by our Lady Ė at the Visitation in order to assist her kinswoman. At Maryís greeting on entering Elizabeth and Zacheryís house Ė the child John leapt with joy in his motherís womb- the first encounter of Jesus Christ to the waiting world eh? All of this is from the wombs of the two mothers.

My dear people, we have to receive this truth again and again. There are mighty forces now and I see it in Ofsted - the ones who inspect schools. They are deeply hostile as any Herod to the Law of God and the Christian religion.

A Primary school critical report on Tuesday from Ofsted said that children should be taught how cross dress and cross gendering and boys dressing up as girls should be encouraged in schools!!! I jest not. Male and female characteristics must be driven out, otherwise the schoolteachers and the other kids will be guilty of "bullying". The departure from fundamental morality is amazing. Where are these people coming from?

The Chief of Police had another study day for 400 according to the MEN - dealing with the same "problems". These are pure inventions. The cops have never found any culprit of the break-ins I have suffered in the church or the Parochial house yet they have the time to invent so called "hate crimes" which hardly a social problem. They did not bother to protect those girls in Rochdale for all the times they asked for protection did they ?

The United Nations allows its agencies to tell the Third World that there are too many people on the face of the earth and that everyone must have reproductive rights (abortion). Get the quote from the SPUC web page this week (Tuesday) and you will see the dangers that envelop our culture. Kindness from nurses can no longer be taken for granted as the elderly suffer from lack of dignity and respect in care homes and even Hospitals sometimes.

Love is growing cold and the Church has the mission of announcing the Word to a waiting world which is enveloping itself in its own errors to its great detriment. Times are hard in many, many ways and the solutions are often beyond the grasp of those who rule us. But the ideological falsehood like same sex "marriage" and abortion "right" discloses a deep malaise at the heart of those who rule us. The poor people are never asked about such things. Like Henry VIII Ė these falsehoods are forced on the ordinary folk from above.

May the Voice of the Church give succour to the world and even though the world is hostile to the Catholic faith and wars against it Ė in the end the voice of Jesus will triumph. Our Lady's Immaculate Heart will be triumphant as promised at Fatima. Be prepared for the struggle to get worse and I tell you - in my life time priests and lay people will do goal for holding Godís truth.

God Bless and save us !!
