######### MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of St. Kentigern’s School is to serve the community it represents. The exemplar model to follow is that of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. In all its functions the school should strive to reflect this absolute model.

All aspects of the curriculum offered should reflect the distinctive nature of our Catholic belief, set in a framework of opportunity for all. The school must offer security and sometimes even refuge, to its children. Through a caring but firm and impartial structure it should create the means for each child to realise the talents and aptitudes which each possesses. At the same time each child should be taught self-discipline, and the need to respect the rights of others.

######### VISION STATEMENT FOR THE CURRICULUM

We will inspire children to succeed with their learning, rejoice in their achievements and celebrate their many gifts.

#########

######### THE BRAIN ZONE

Children will develop the knowledge of learning how to learn which will aid them in becoming independent learners. It will depend on developing the ability to think at high levels, to communicate, to collaborate and make decisions.
