HOW WE MET

Pauline and Iain met in June 2000 on the Christian Soulmates web site. Iain proposed to Pauline on her Birthday (26th April) the following year. Thankfully Pauline accepted (!) and we were married on 28th June 2003 at St. Kentigern's Catholic Church in Manchester.

OUR FAITH

Our Christian Faith is central to our lives. Pauline is Catholic and attends the church she was married in: St. Kentigern's. Iain is Evangelical Protestant and attends Langley Methodist church. Both attend each other's churches too!

Pauline is a qualified catechist (teacher) of the Catholic Faith, having secured a diploma in Catechesis from the Maryvale Institute. Iain studied Theology at the London School of Theology and was awarded his Theological Studies Certificate in 2010.

THE CHURCH

The parish of Saint Kentigern is situated in the south suburb of Manchester called Fallowfield, and in the Catholic Diocese of Salford. The Bishop is the Rt Rev. Terence J. Brain and the parish priest is Father Tom Connolly.

The Parish comprises about 3,900 souls. Most of the housing was built before the last war and was called the Wilbraham Estate and managed by the City of Manchester.

The parish thrives with a Youth Club, RCIA, Readers, Special Ministers of the Eucharist and many catechetical courses for those having their children baptised and preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage, Confession and First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
